Barb Anderson said, “Check with your employer for their policy. Safety glasses can be made with prescription lenses. Many times the employer will pay for all or part of your prescription safety glasses. Prescription glasses can be made with added side shields.”

-Barb worked as an Operating Practices Safety Inspector and Chief Inspection for the FRA. Her primary duties included hands on inspections of Class I, Regional, and Short Line Railroads for compliance with Federal Railroad Regulations. She retired in 2015 with over 40 years in the rail industry.
